Relief Valve

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Relief Valve?

A relief valve is a pressure control valve used in hydraulic systems. Its main function is to limit or stabilize system pressure and prevent hydraulic components from being damaged by overpressure. When the system pressure exceeds the set value, the relief valve opens to allow excess hydraulic oil to flow back to the tank or low-pressure circuit, thereby maintaining the system pressure within a safe range.

Pressure range: Choose the right rated pressure according to system requirements.
Flow capacity: Make sure the relief valve can handle the maximum flow of the system to avoid valve clogging.
Response speed: In situations where pressure needs to be adjusted quickly, choose a fast-response type, such as a pilot or solenoid relief valve.
Working environment: If used in high temperature, high pressure or harsh environments, a high temperature and corrosion-resistant relief valve should be selected.
